Who is eligible to sit for the FPR examinations?

FPR

All Guardians of the Record engaged in the practice of court reporting, regardless of methodology, may take the examination and earn the designation of FPR, Florida Professional Reporter.

FPI

Teachers of court reporting or anyone connected in an official capacity with a school or college conducting a court reporting program may take the examination and earn the designation of FPI, Florida Professional Instructor.

FPM

Anyone involved in their professional capacity as a manager or owner in the reporting profession may take the examination and earn the designation of FPM, Florida Professional Manager.

FPS

Scopists actively providing services to the court reporting profession may take the examination and earn the designation of FPS, Florida Professional Scopist .

STUDENTS

Students may take the FPR examination, although certification is deferred pending proof of graduation from a court reporting program or entry into the practice of court reporting.
